This project is an excellent example of the WBG philosophy of blending a custom and standard package yet dictated by client budget. The majority of this project required a necessity of the design to be custom due to use of the conservation laboratory. The challenge was meeting the budget dictated by the client yet meet the design intent set by the architect. Based on expertise and knowledge of materials, detailing and engineering, we clearly were able to accomplish this goal and exceed the baseline specifications for the project. This project was estimated overall at $2.5 million. The staff offices were part of an I-crane solution for meeting the architect’s design intent but The WBG engineering the design to make it functional and cost effective for final solution. The renderings show a very clear direction that the end product met the original design intent by the architect.
